We do what we can, when
and where we must. The winter blast let up just soon enough for today’s run to proceed as planned – with an assist from the anonymous angels who plowed the
record late-winter snow off the bike paths.
Eugene Half-Marathon
training officially began this morning – this while three from the team, Neal,
Kathie and Nobuko – were running the
Napa Valley Half. Down there in California wine country, Russell became our
fourth marathon finisher the past two weeks.
Thanks to Lindsey for
another store opening today. To Laurel and Trey for helping again on the
course. And to Chris for the most welcome hand warmers.

the amazing gift that Amy, Bill and Jenna supplied. They didn’t realize quite
how special this jacket is. Next month marks 40 years since my last Boston
Marathon – of four.)
