Last Sunday was the last time Eugene
road racers will run through the open gate and onto the Hayward Field track to
finish. Now the gate is locked. In too few weeks it will be gone, along with
all other remnants of the old stadium.
That’s why we revisited there today.
The distance split the difference between our usual start at five miles and the
scheduled six.
This served as both the end of the
Eugene Marathon/Half program and the start of what lies ahead for us in races
through mid-July.
Thanks, always, to Lindsey for opening the store this morning.
