November 4th Results (11.1 miles, etc.)

Fall training peaked today for EWEB – or other halves around that time. Ben, our youngest ever at 10, has entered his first half – at Albany. Berkeley and Friendsgiving also come that week.

The ever-popular Silver Falls races became more so for us this weekend. Never have we aimed our training at that event, yet never before have we sent so many there: nine, plus a future teammate.

Thanks to Lindsey for the store opening. And welcome back from her last weekend marathon in Boise.

October 28th Results (10.0 miles, etc.)

We found a temporary home today, among many others who claimed Alton Baker as same for reasons of their own. This sharing went fine.

Eight current teammates are tapering for the Silver Falls races next weekend. Kathie H. placed second for her age at today's Los Angeles Rock n Roll half. Lindsey, our "housemother" at the store, was second woman to finish a marathon in Boise, running 3:22.

October 21st Results (9.1 miles, etc.)

Maybe we should have run the Owosso loop after all, instead of making the late change. It would have been our last chance for several weeks. I learned today that the footbridge on the EWEB Half route will close soon for repairs.

Thanks to Lindsey for opening the store today. She’s a week away from her marathon in Boise.

The country's biggest month for marathons moves along nicely for us. David Blankenship handled the tough Columbia Gorge course today.
