July 8th Results (6 miles, etc.)


 This brings many of our “winter/spring” runners to the end of this cycle, primarily as tapering today for Saturday’s Coburg Half-Marathon. We will NOT meet at the Eugene Running Company on Sunday, taking that day off before beginning the summer/fall program on July 22nd.

Thanks to Austin for opening the store this morning. And to Kellen for taking good care of Leah on her long run that started earlier.

Butte to Butte Results



About a dozen of us joined thousands of our closest friends for a celebration of running (and walking) independence this morning. Here are our official results that the Eclectic Edge website has shown me so far.

Besides results below for the current team, I give special mention to two others. Chantelle Russell, UO P.E. director who’ll join us soon, ran a 52:28 10K. My stepson Chris Hazen went that distance in 43:48.

Summer/Fall Team Training


Our team training for the rest of 2018 starts on July 22nd, a week after the Coburg Half. As usual, we target specific half-marathons. There’s one this summer and another in the fall (with other local choices available in each round of training). Those are:

Summer: Florence Half on Saturday, September 22nd (with the option of extending to the Oregon Women’s Half, on October 7th).

Fall: EWEB Half on Sunday, November 18th (or the new Friendsgiving Half later that week, on November 24th, with extended training for the Holiday Half, on December 15th).

Some runners point toward other events during this time frame. I can help adjust your training distances for those but can’t promise full support every week.

The training fee for all these months is $100, or half as much for half this long. Ask me about credits you might have coming (for overpaying earlier this year) or our possible discounts.
